Calhoun Community College Hosts Annual Fall Job Fair

The Calhoun Community College Career Services team is excited to host its annual fall job fair, providing a unique opportunity for students and community members to connect with local employers. The event will take place on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The job fair is open to all Calhoun students and graduates, as well as the community, and promises to be one of the largest in North Alabama. Over 50 companies will be in attendance, eager to hire full- and part-time employees. The event will feature a range of activities, including resume critiques, career closet services, and on-the-spot interviews.

'We encourage attendees to come dressed for success with a current proofread resume in hand as some employers may conduct on-the-spot interviews,' said Kelli Morris, Calhoun Director of Career Services.

In addition to the job fair, students and community members can take advantage of free resume critique services and shop for free in the career closet for business attire. This event is an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn what skills employers desire and discover new or hidden career paths.

According to Morris, 'With unemployment so low in our area, it's easy for students and community members alike to underestimate the power of networking. By taking the time to speak with local employers, current and future job seekers can gain valuable insights and connections.'

The Calhoun County Clerk and Register of Deeds has two office locations within the county, providing convenient access to important documents and services.
